Whats new for theme parks in 2007

Flying Fish Thorpe Park
Maybe it's too early to look forward to what's new in 2007 for the U.K.s major theme parks, but here we go anyway

Alton Towers

Not much happening in terms of new rides. A makeover for Towers Street, more focus on the gardens, but nothing new for the serious ride fan in 2007. However in 2008 we are promised something "Major and Exciting"...

Thorpe Park

Old favourite Flying Fish will be making a comeback. The family coaster was removed to make way for Stealth. The logical place to put it is in Neptune's Kingdom.
The worlds first 'backwards' roller coaster X:No Way Out is to be re-themed as a ghostly mine train.

Legoland

The park is to have some major investment in 2007, rumoured to be about £7 million on a major new ride. Rumour is that this will be a water rapids ride named Viking River Splash

Chessington

The focus here is on the new Chessington Hotel and the possible return of Rodeo. But with the park celebrating its 20th year we expect something more exciting.

Drayton Manor

Again, hotel development is at the centre of development , but with a major waterpark, StormaLong Bay, attached. Not sure how much will be open for next year though. The only other confirmed new ride is a new Pirate Ship. Possibility of a "4D" cinema.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The Traumatizer roller coaster from the now defunct Pleasureland in Southport will be installed at the Pleasure Beach where the old Log Flume ride previously was. It will be renamed Infusion.

Updates as we get them
